This story is new to the readers of our blog but not to the members of our Forum. Back in February I started a competition/Joke called “Give a name to the new U2 album“, we received a lot of entries (more or less serious) with working titles and there was mine…Mercy/No Line On the Horizon. This list has been delivered many times to U2, at their Hanover Quay studios in Dublin during March, April and June. So, I Won my own competition and I wonder if U2 got inspiration from our idea.
The name No Line On The Horizon went out, just as the title of a song, during an interview to Bono to Usa Today last year.
Believe it or not, you can read the story/photos/working titles and the letter we left to U2 inside the U2Star Message Board

Since when is the album title official?
And where in the linked topic did you predict a title?
Hi, please remember it was a funny competition and I’m not claiming they got a suggestion from our idea. If you read carefully my working titles are in the italian section (there’s a link) and I published the original letter we sent to them.
About the album name, it’s still not official cause has not been published on u2.com but many sources (music sites, best u2fansites, people who spoke with Anton Corbijn) all are saying NLOTH, do you think u2 are joking with us?
I hope not. Honestly I’m more sceptical about a song name like Sexy Boots, awful!
Just a quick note, Me you can sign with the same nickname you use in the board, tylerdurden! It’s not a problem.
