U2 is in Denver. It took several days to put up ‘The Claw,’ but the final finishing touches are ready for the first of the 360 Tour at the Investco Field in downtown Denver Saturday. The fans are ready and so is the planning for what is said to be one of the biggest concerts scheduled for the Mile High City.
In a beautiful blue sky with slightly whisking clouds, the fans of U2 are eagerly anticipating the best sounds of the evening. The gates of the show open early with the concert starting at 7pm. The Fray, Colorado’s own hometown band, is the opening act.
The 360 Tour has set a world record for the largest concert stage structure for U2. The Claw is part of an elaborate stage that features a 360-degree configuration, allowing fans to be all the way around the stage and still have a firsthand view. The Each concert of the U2 360° Tour contains between 22 and 24 songsand fans will get perfect viewing no matter where they choose to sit.
The first stop in America, U2 will head out across the country and take their elaborate stage with them. The stops include the northeast, west and even Anaheim. Tonight’s performance, a sold out show, will definitely be rocking the Rockies and there is nothing stopping U2 fans (and those with tickets like us) to really enjoy the day!
U2 played a special dress rehearsal for about 500 people yesterday.
