Bono will headline next month’s annual “American Idol” charity concert in Los Angeles, it has been announced. The U2 singer will top a star-studded bill featuring Snoop Dogg, Fergie, Annie Lennox and Mariah Carey. John Legend, Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon are also set to appear at the event, which looks to raise money for underprivileged children. Last year’s debut fundraiser brought in almost $80 million. The 2008 event takes place on April 9 at the Kodak Theatre, LA.
