Ri Ra Irish Pub & Restaurant Bethesda and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research, today announced the auction of exclusive VIP tickets to a U2 concert and signed, limited edition memorabilia by U2’s Bono. Auction items are available on eBay and include a copy of the “Peter & the Wolf” book and CD, a (PRODUCT)RED 4GB iPod Nano and a Joshua Tree CD Boxed Set. All auction proceeds will go to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

U2 has sold more than 170 million albums worldwide and has won 22 Grammy Awards. This is your chance to win 2 exclusive and otherwise unobtainable VIP tickets and Backstage Hospitality passes to see U2 at any concert in the U.S. during their next World/U.S. Tour (auction winner may chose to attend any location pending announcement of tour dates and locations). The winner will be responsible for any travel and accommodation expenses to and from their concert of choice.

St. Baldrick’s event organizer, Simon Hewson, is the cousin of Bono, lead singer and principal lyricist of U2. Simon is personally providing this incredible auction package as part of his Bethesda, Md. event held Sunday, September 14 at Ri Ra Irish Pub. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation coordinates worldwide head-shaving events, with volunteer “shavees” raising money to support childhood cancer research. Since 2000, head-shavings have taken place in 18 countries and 46 U.S. states, raising more than $50.8 million, and shaving more than 72,490 heads.
