Into the hearth Volume 1 (U2 fans speaking about their relationship with a u2 song).
The FLY 72 talks about One and Sometimes you can’t make it on your own.
One of the most important songs to me is ONE
As far as i know it is about difficulty’s in a relationship (any kind of relationship)…and Bono one’s said it is a conversation between a father and a son (who has AIDS).
In my opinion it is also a call to people everywhere…”One life, but we’re not the same. We got to carry eachother…”.
To me it is a song that has always been a great support to me. Everytime when i feel bad or sad or when something bad/sad happens to me this song is there for me.
Especialy when played live it brings tears into my eyes, and after the song is played i feel much better.
Another song is Sometimes you can’t make it on your own
When i first heard it i loved it. A beautiful song about Bono’s father who died because of cancer.
Not knowing at that moment that this song would become a song i could relato to so much a few years later.
Last year in april 2007 my own father heard the news that he had cancer and the docters couldn’t do anything for him.
They said that maybe he could have another 8 years to live…
Not even one year later, march 2008 he died (at the age of 66 years old (way to young)).
So this was and still is a very heavy year for me…but with some people close to me and knowing that my hero Bono had to go thru the same pain. Gives me the feeling that i’m not allone in this…
So that’s why these song are so important to me.
